چکیده

A dynamic phasor model for lowand medium-voltage distribution grids is presented. This model accurately represents the transient dynamics of this type of grid, and its low order makes it well suited for control design. A novel fixed-structure, robust control design method based on convex optimization is then used to design a decentralized low-order controller that shows a significantly improved transient performance compared to classical droop controllers. The performance of the designed controller is then validated in a simulation example for voltage and frequency control of an islanded medium-voltage distribution grid.

Voltage Control and Load Sharing in a DC Islanded Microgrid Based on Disturbance Observer

Increasing DC loads along with DC nature of distributed energy resources (DERs) raises interest to DC microgrids. Conventional droop/non-droop power-sharing in microgrids suffers from load dependent voltage deviation, slow transient response, and requires the parameters of the loads, system and DERs connection status. In this paper, a new nonlinear decentralized back-stepping control strategy f...

A Review of the Primary-Control Techniques for the Islanded Microgrids

The growing interest in sharing the renewable-energy resources in power microgrids presents major challenge from the perspective of reliable operation and control of the power systems. The issue of the microgrids autonomous control has received a considerable attention in the last decade. As the architecture of the power system control, a hierarchical control scheme can be implemented for the i...

Dynamic Phasors Based Modeling and Stablity Analysis of Droop-Controlled Inverters for Microgrid Applications

System modeling and stability analysis is one of the most important issues of inverter-dominated microgrids. It is useful to determine the system stability and optimize the control parameters. The complete small signal models for the inverterdominated microgrids have been developed which are very accurate and could be found in literature. However, the modeling procedure will become very complex...

A Local Power Control Scheme for Electronically Interfaced Distributed Generators in Islanded Microgrids

The conventional real power-frequency and reactive power-voltage droop characteristics are commonly employed to share the electric power among parallel distributed generation (DG) units. Despite some advantages such as easy implementation and no need for communication infrastructure, inaccurate reactive power sharing is one of the main disadvantages of conventional droop control. This paper pre...

Islanded Operation of Microgrids with Inverter Connected Renewable Energy Resources

This paper contains a control scheme for power sharing in islanded microgrids with invertersourced distributed energy resources that combines robust control and droop control. As the load within the microgrid changes, the inverter-sourced generators share the change in the load; this paper shows that the uncontrolled load sharing among the generators will be arbitrary and methods such as droop ...
